Through modern compositional techniques and simple lines, it outlines Panyu's dual character as an "ancient city with a thousand-year history and a modern new city." In terms of color, it retains the stability of the blue bricks and gray tiles commonly found in Lingnan architecture, while incorporating warm orange tones symbolizing vitality and service.
