Shanghai Culture Planning has been fortunate to provide customized public art creation services for several famous Chinese cultural and historical villages. We delve into the unique cultural fabric of each village and, using sculpture as a medium, create iconic artistic IPs that embody their core spirit and collective memory.
In a village that takes pride in its historical heroes, our "Statue of General Chen Xuande" transcends the scope of conventional commemorative sculptures. We conducted in-depth research and focused on portraying his role as... The sculpture, with its powerful form and solemn expression, embodies the dignity of a local guardian and a profound sense of national identity. It transforms this historical figure into a symbol of the village. Spiritual Mountains and Immortality Cultural totems have become core spiritual landmarks that unite villagers' sense of identity, inspire future generations, and attract outsiders to admire them.
In another village renowned for its traditional agricultural civilization, our work shifted to a celebration of the land and life. Drawing inspiration from rice, millet, sorghum, wheat, and beans, we employed a modern, minimalist sculptural language to create the "Abundant Harvest" series of art icons and landscape installations. These works not only symbolize wishes for a bountiful harvest but also serve as interactive exhibits for visitors to understand agricultural civilization and take photos. The core art elements elevate ancient agricultural activities into public art symbols with contemporary aesthetics.
Despite the different villages and themes, all projects adhere to the same core concept: We delve into the DNA of local culture and transform it into "cultural chips" with powerful communicative force and experiential appeal through contemporary art and design. We don't produce generic decorations; instead, we forge unique spiritual carriers for each village.
Our achievements lie not only in establishing visual landmarks, but also in effectively enhancing the cultural identity and brand value of the village through these sculptures, providing a solid foundation for the contemporary inheritance of historical and cultural heritage and the in-depth experience of rural tourism.
