Shanghai Culture Planning was honored to plan and design the overall campus signage system for Dali Boqi School in Nanhai District, Foshan City. Named after Mr. Zou Boqi, a pioneer of modern science, our core mission was to transform the spirit of exploration and truth-seeking inherent in the "Boqi spirit" into a spatial guidance scheme that combines high functionality, cultural symbolism, and educational value.
We proposed a design concept of "rational navigation, humanistic immersion." We systematically extracted scientific imagery, constructing information hierarchies with a rational and clear visual language, while rigorously considering the durability and safety of the campus environment. The design encompasses all-scene signage, from outdoor overviews to detailed indoor subdivisions, ensuring visual unity and long-term application flexibility through standardized and modular design.
Ultimately, we delivered not just a wayfinding tool, but a cultural carrier that harmoniously integrates with the architecture and landscape, continuously conveying the school's core values. This project represents another professional practice of deeply integrating our profound cultural concepts into educational spaces through systematic design.
Shanghai Culture is honored to have penned the unique visual poem for the newly established Dongzhou Middle School. Our mission is to infuse this brand-new institution with a soul that can be gazed upon and a spirit that can breathe.
Inspired by its name – “Dongzhou” (Eastern Continent), we have fused the natural epic of rivers converging and sandbars growing on this land with the civilizational journey of knowledge integration and individual growth in education, distilling it into the core image of “Integration and Growth.” The main logo, outlined with modern strokes, resembles rippling water or billowing sails, a geographical imprint and a spiritual beacon. The colors are taken from the hues of dawn and wisdom, achieving a beautiful balance between vitality and tranquility.
This visual seed has been systematically sown throughout the campus. From the main feature wall showcasing the school's spirit to the warm and silent wayfinding signs; from dignified official documents to youthful digital interfaces, it grows in every place within sight, making the concept a tangible warmth and the system a silent influence.
Ultimately, what we delivered was not just a signage system, but a complete initial vision for a brand ecosystem. It enabled Dongzhou Middle School to have its own unified, confident, and inspiring visual narrative from the very beginning, quietly awaiting each chapter of youth and witnessing every budding of wisdom.
Shanghai Culture Planning was honored to complete the overall planning and design of the signage system for the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Facing this large-scale hospital that integrates profound traditional Chinese medicine with modern medical services, our aim was to create a "spatial communication language" that goes beyond basic signage and conveys cultural care.
Our design is based on the core concepts of "clarity, integration, and care." A five-level wayfinding network has been constructed from outside the hospital to the consultation rooms, ensuring efficient access for over 10,000 people daily. Visually, elements of traditional Chinese medicine are subtly integrated to create a tranquil and trustworthy overall atmosphere. In areas such as the emergency room and pediatrics, humanistic care is emphasized through details.
Ultimately, we delivered a standardized, comprehensive signage system. It not only significantly improved patient efficiency but also transformed the hospital's "patient-centered" philosophy into a tangible, warm experience, subtly solidifying its brand image as a leader in modern TCM.
Guangzhou Health Vocational and Technical College is a medical school that has weathered 120 years of trials and tribulations. From classrooms in 1902 to today's intelligent health and wellness training base, generations of medical professionals have completed their first lesson here—how to respect life.
Shanghai Culture transforms the school motto of "Professional Excellence and Self-Discipline, Compassion and Benevolence" into tangible daily life on campus. In the school history corridor, old photos quietly tell the story of the cradle of medical professionals in southern Guangdong; at the capping ceremony, candlelight illuminates young faces, just as it did a century ago. We don't engage in grand narratives; we only hope that every time students walk through the campus, they can remember: why did they put on this white coat?
This is the original aspiration of Shanghai Culture in this century-old medical school.
Shanghai Culture Planning was invited to participate in the cultural image design of the Nansha District Bus Terminal series of projects, empowering the urban public transportation space.
In the core area of Mingzhu Bay in Nansha New Area, the Lingshan Island Tip Rainwater Bus Terminal, which was enhanced with the participation of Shanghai Culture, is Guangzhou's first near-zero energy bus terminal. It interprets ecological wisdom with a unique "umbrella"-shaped architectural language - 36 "funnel"-shaped roofs collect rainwater to irrigate greenery, triple-silver hollow ultra-white glass allows light to pass through but not heat, and solar photovoltaic panels meet the needs of daily operation.
Shanghai Culture extends the "environment-based education" concept from campus culture construction to the creation of public spaces. It incorporates a human-centered waiting experience design into the smart bus command center on the second floor of the station, while the first floor features a children's play area, interactive display boards, and public restrooms, transforming the transportation hub into a warm "urban living room." In the future, with the advancement of the Nansha (Huangge) Bus Hub Complex project, Shanghai Culture will continue to use its refined approach to school culture design to help create a new landmark integrating industry and city, combining a bus terminal, vehicle management office, automobile museum, and commercial facilities.
From campuses to cities, Shanghai Culture has always adhered to the concept of "culture empowering spaces," making every bus terminal a window for conveying the city's spirit and demonstrating humanistic care on this fertile land of Nansha.

The Guangzhou Middle School Labor and Technology School, meticulously designed by Shanghai Culture Planning, organically integrates labor education, science popularization, and ecological experience with a unique campus culture design concept. The campus features specialized venues such as an earthquake disaster prevention and mitigation science museum, a traffic safety museum, and a fire safety museum, equipped with interactive facilities such as an earthquake simulation room, driving simulator, and smoke escape simulator, allowing students to master self-rescue skills through immersive experiences.
As a model of campus culture development, the school also boasts outdoor practice bases such as a herb garden, a grain garden, and a flower garden, cultivating over 200 kinds of medicinal plants. These are complemented by hydroponics greenhouses and an ecological agriculture area, where students can learn about grains, identify flowers and plants, and experience farming. The science education building houses an environmental protection education hall, an automatic weather station, and several specialized classrooms. It hosts the Guangzhou Primary and Secondary School Students' Science Summer Camp annually, offering diverse activities such as artificial intelligence creation, radio direction finding, and nature exploration.
Shanghai Culture, through its professional school culture design, integrates the school motto of "Sacred Labor, Cultivating Both Knowledge and Skills, Employing Both Hands and Mind, and Enhancing Overall Quality" into every space. From the interactive light and shadow in the tea culture classroom to the mock courtroom in the legal education base, from the civil defense drill field to the earthquake simulation room, every detail showcases the meticulous craftsmanship in **school culture construction**. This national demonstration base for extracurricular activities for youth has become a spiritual home for Guangzhou students to "be creators of a better life."
